MQ Qureshi, July 17, 2017: SAUD: Boodle Fight Style was my first ever Xooba experience and it was awesome! Agnes is friendly, knowledgeable, easy going, and very graciously welcomed us into her home. We started at the Robey in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago. It has a very nice rooftop patio with great views all around and a small pool. My niece, nephew, and I sat with our feet dipped in the cool water on a hot Saturday afternoon while their parents enjoyed a nice snack. After that we Agnes took us on a short walk to her home where she had a crazy meal ready! She laid everything out on giant banana leaves for us to eat. The coconut rice and noodles she had prepared were amazing! I'm a vegetarian so I didn't try the chicken :) I even ate a whole flower...which I have never done before. The night wrapped up with a very nice, icy dessert. All in all, it was a great time and I'd love to try it again!
Tajuana, August 16, 2017: This was a great experience. Agnes was a great guide through the Botanical Garden exhibits. The picnic food she prepared was unbelievable! It was actually a gourmet meal. Everything was made from scratch including the dessert with mango and home made pound cake chunks. She also mixed us an awesome drink with coconut water, rum, mango and Champaign. I would suggest leaving a little early for this experience because the area was very congested with traffic and it took a while to find a park. I look forward to doing another experience with Agnes.
Sam, October 24, 2017: Agnes is an excellent host. We met at the Robey Hotel and had she got us up to the 12th floor which is a private floor for guests only. It was the perfect place to begin the experience. We talked and had drinks and generally enjoyed the ambiance. Afterward, we want to Agnes' home for the meal. She presented a fully Filipino meal that included three courses. The main meal included braised filipino chicken with coconut rice, noodles, and sesame salad. It was great.
Teneshya Miller, November 6, 2017: We met at the Robey Hotel, had drinks and took pictures on the rooftop deck. Before we even made it to our Xoobie’s home, we were already having a great time. The food was great and prepared from scratch. But the best part was hanging out and learning about Filipino cuisine. We will definitely try another experience :).
