Getting to Know your Xoobie
Meet Bernard Turner, an author, educator, docent, storyteller, and a Native Chicagoan. After teaching World Languages to middle school and high school students, he continued his love for education through his writing and as a gallery interpreter and tour guide for Chicago History Museum. In 2002, he published A View of Bronzeville, revealing Bronzeville’s rich history and the people that made this neighborhood a vibrant center for African-Americans.
